Ellis Island

Last week mummy, daddy, grandad and me went to Manhattan to visit Ellis Island. Grandad said that he wanted to see if he could find out if my great-great-great-grandfather passed through there on his way to Colorado but he couldn't find out anything that day but he is hot on the trail now. walking along the river with daddy and grandad, if you look closely you can see the Statue of Liberty in the background

that's daddy and me on the ferry, looking out to see if there are any other boats on the water and then that's mummy and me on the ferry

"look everyone that's the Statue of Liberty, France gave it to us when we got our independence from Great Britain."
ready to go and take a look through Ellis Island museum to see if we can find Lewis William Lewis, that's my great-great-great grandfather's namewaiting for the ferry to come and take us back to Manhattan. It took ages, so this little girl kept me occupied with her green gold ball but for some reason she wouldn't let me have it.

on the ferry grandad found me a green golf ball of my very own, thank you grandad
