Today mummy took me to an elementary school in Poughkeepsie, where she said some very important words that turned her into an American citizen. There were lots of other people there doing the same thing, it was a very special day. Our friends Corie and Diana came too to watch what mummy was doing and to take photos.

some of the children from the school sang a song for everyone, I tried to get up there with them but mummy said that I was too small. If you look closely you can see mummy on the front row peeking through the other people
that man wanted to give me a flag but mummy and daddy have told me not to take things from strangers
what a pretty flag, can I hold it?
mummy was worried that I might poke her in the eye...as if I would!

Congratulations to mummy from Grandma on this very special and important day. This is a very busy month - Mummy and Daddy's wedding anniversary, your 1st birthday and mummy becoming a US citizen and your cousin Desrie and Chris's wedding anniversary. What a lot of celebrations to catch up with. And James you always look so adoring and cute.
